Beosound 9000 dead and sledge is not moving

Hello, i recently bought a used Beosound 9000 mk1 which i really want to restore. At first, it is completely dead, no standby LED or anything. So i would like to open it and take a look inside. The CD Clamper is in position 6 (?) and is not moveable by hand, but i think it needs to be in the middle to open the device? The Beosound was really, really dirty when i got it, so i guess the mechanics may be blocked by dirt and dust. The motorized lid is also not moving. Can somebody please give me a hint how to proceed? Best regards

Hi and welcome to Beoworld, If nothing happens, check power supply first. Then if you're lucky, just the CD eye. If you're not, it may be related to whatever CPU or EPROM error and then you're in bad bed sheets!. All issues are documented in BWI and BWII. Any BS9000 deserve to be restored and all the pain for that vanish as soon as the unit turns on again. Good luck and let us know.

Thank you very much! I absolutely cannot find a way to move the arm into the service position, and i also cannot find any information about it.
Okay, the mk3 service manual did the trick. Opened the back and turned the big gear wheel until it was free.
