There was recently a thread about the same issue for a Beovision 11 (same platform as the V1), and in the last post in that thread user Vikinger tells that ha had to take his BV11 to a dealer to have it updated correctly as the USB stick method was not working in that case https://forum.beoworld.org/forums/topic/netradio-in-beovision-11/page/2/

Thanks Madskp, I had contacted my local dealer and he charged me a pretty penny for what i believe should just be a software update. is there any DIY ways i could attempt first. Thanks again for the help pal!

I would ask Vikinger what he did pay…..and confront the dealer with that (provided that it is cheap enough for you). MM

Customer service provided me an update file for the latest software "A3.1.0.11.37484_signed.bin" which I am happy to forward (send me your email via dm), but i am struggeling to install the update on my Beoplay V1 (see my new forum post).
